Sebree Christian Outreach: Please consider lending a hand on Saturdays from 9am-12pm at the Outreach. This is a ministry for the needy shared by churches in the area and during October it is St. Michael’s turn to help staff it. Volunteers are also needed during the month on weekdays to help sort new donations. If you are able to help please let Rosie Edwards know.
Coloring Book Collection: Thanks to everyone who has brought coloring books to brighten the day of a child in our sister Diocese in Jamaica! As of Sept. 30th we had collected 418 and counting!
Middle School & High School Youth Group continues this Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm! We will have a day at Camp Oct 12th from 9am-6pm. If you know of a young person that may be interested please let Patti know so she can keep them aware of upcoming activities for youth! Or if you’d like to volunteer occasionally let Patti know! (see page 2.)
Appreciation Dinner scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15th after the 5pm Mass. Everyone who shares their time and talent with our parish family in any capacity is asked to bring their family to enjoy a meal at the rectory. You are the reason our parish is able to do what we do, so let us pamper you and show you our appreciation! This includes all liturgical ministers, cleaners, volunteers for special events, catechists, Knights of Columbus, Altar society, etc. etc.
St. Michael’s Parish Family Celebrates 40 years! If you have memories and photos of the early days of the parish, please share them with Patti who will be compiling them during our year long commemoration culminating with a big homecoming Mass next November when we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the church being dedicated Nov. 20, 1977.
