News for the week of May 22nd

Our Parish Family

Parish pilgrimage date changed: In celebration of the Year of Mercy, St. Michael’s is organizing a pilgrimage to one of the Doors of Mercy in the Diocese—to the Fathers of Mercy in Auburn, KY.  Since the original date June 19th conflicts with the Sebree Summerfest the pilgrimage has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 9th.  Please let Fr. Carmelo or Patti know if there is a conflict with this date.

Parish Mission Statement: Over the next few weeks we will finish reflecting on our mission as a parish as stated in the new Mission Statement chosen by majority last year.  Please see the front of the bulletin for the entire statement.  Since the Parish Planning Day was cancelled due to lack of attendance, there will be an opportunity in a couple weeks to offer input on how we are living out this mission and where we can improve as a parish family.   More details to come.

Going on Vacation or Down to the Lake?  Don’t  forget to continue your support of St. Michael’s while you’re gone!  The parish counts on everyone’s ongoing support to continue to cover expenses through the Summer.  You can either mail in your offering or give online giving a try!  It’s easy to set up a quick, one-time gift or a reoccurring gift .  See www.smsebree.org/online-giving/ for info.

Knights of Columbus Raffle: The Knights are selling chances on a new Gas Grill valued at $500.  Tickets are $5 each and the winner can choose between the grill and $500 cash.  The drawing will be May 29th at 11:30am.

You’re invited:  The Gutiérrez family would like to invite the St. Michael’s family to celebrate the baptism of their baby Isabel and the 3-year presentation of their son Isaac on Saturday, June 11th at 11am at St. Michael’s followed by a party in the park.  No presents please, just your presence.  Everyone is welcome!
