Our Parish Family

DSC03050Sacramental Preparation Starting soon!  Do you know someone who would like to learn more about becoming Catholic, coming back to the church after years or completing their Initiation Sacraments (Baptism, First Communion & Confirmation)?  Would you like to assist in the formation of those preparing to receive sacraments?  RCIA, Confirmation prep and Religious Ed for K-6 are all starting soon!  Please spread the word and encourage others to contact Fr. Carmelo or Patti soon if they are interested in learning more.  If you are willing to help in some capacity please let them know as well.

English Classes Starting back up: Would you like to help local immigrants improve their English?  Helpers and child care workers are needed!  Classes will be each Monday from 6-8pm starting on Sept. 12th. For more info contact Joe Goeltz at 812-454-5537.

Religious Education (K-6): All children from Kindergarten through 6th grade are encouraged to attend our classes from 5:45-7pm each Wednesday starting Sept. 7th.  Please make plans to bring your kids and grandkids!  We are still needing one more helper or co-teacher for the 5th & 6th grade class.

Annual Feast Day & Festival: This year the annual fundraising festival and the bilingual mass celebrating our patron Saint Michael will be combined this year on Sunday, Oct. 2nd.  If you would like to join the planning committee the first meeting will be Sunday, Aug. 21st at 8:30pm.

Sebree Outdoor Movie Night w/ Independence Bank, Friday, Aug. 26th: Join us for our annual FREE outdoor movie night featuring the Disney Pixar movie, INSIDE OUT! There will be FREE concessions, FREE Sno-Cones and FREE train rides on the Independence Express! Sebree Springs Park.

Free Dental Care: For those unable to get dental care               elsewhere, Baldwin Dental group will provide your choice of a free filling, extraction or cleaning on Saturday, Aug. 27th.  Registration begins at 7:30am, first come, first serve.  32 East Broadway, Madisonville.  270-821-2800

46th (and LAST) Mount Saint Joseph Picnic Sunday, Sept. 11  It’s time to come together for the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph 46th Mount Saint Joseph Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 11 (located 12 miles west of Owensboro on Hwy. 56). Booths open at 10:30 a.m. Barbecue chicken, mutton and pork served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burgoo and sandwiches also available. Grand raffle prizes are $10,000, $3,500, $1,000, a handmade quilt, $500, $250 and $100. Grand raffle tickets are $5. Booths include a silent auction, yard sale, holiday décor, crafts, cake wheel, bingo and more. Children can enjoy adopting a (stuffed) animal and other games. VOCARE 2016 | SAVE THE DATE!  September 23, 2016

Come help the Diocese celebrate and encourage vocations!

The Diocese of Owensboro is now accepting registrations for VOCARE 2016, the event of the year for the Diocese.

It is an opportunity to dress your finest and help our Diocese increase awareness of vocations, celebrate vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, and provide financial support for seminarian education. The evening begins at 5:00 PM at the Owensboro Convention Center with a cocktail/social hour. Dinner will promptly begin at 6:00 PM and will feature a keynote address by Andy Day, Diocese of Owensboro native and southeast regional director of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students).
