Youth Ministry Needs You! We are trying to plan a Middle & High school fun day followed by a retreat.  If you can help supervise and lead activities please let Patti know ASAP!

Annual Feast Day & Festival Oct 2nd: This year the annual fundraising festival and the bilingual mass celebrating our patron Saint Michael will be combined this year on Sunday, Oct. 2nd.  Half of all proceeds will help fund the                    Thanksgiving Baskets!  If you would like to help organize children’s games or volunteer that day please let Patti know.

English Classes Starting back up: Would you like to help local immigrants improve their English?  Helpers and child care workers are needed!  Please consider lending a hand! Classes will be each Monday from 6-8pm starting on Sept. 12th. For more info contact Joe Goeltz at 812-454-5537.

Religious Education (K-6): All children from Kindergarten through 6th grade are encouraged to attend our classes from 5:45-7pm each Wednesday.  Please make plans to bring your kids and grandkids!  Next week (Sept. 21) we will all be heading to Sturgis for a deanery mass with Bishop Medley.

Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat for Healing the Wounds of Abortion: During this Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis has asked for a particular outreach to those women and men who have been wounded by past abortions.  In this spirit, a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat for Healing the Wounds of Abortion will be offered the weekend of September 16-18, 2016 here in the Diocese of Owensboro.  Participation in this retreat is open to any woman or man who has been involved, or touched by, abortion.  If you have lost a child or grandchild, or a sibling, nephew or niece, to abortion, or if you have at any time in your life been involved in an abortion, then the Lord Jesus would like to offer you both healing and peace!  Both Catholics and non-Catholics are welcome to participate, and our retreat is conducted with absolute confidentiality. VOCARE 2016 | SAVE THE DATE!  September 23, 2016

Come help the Diocese celebrate and encourage vocations!  St. Michael’s currently has three tickets available, if you would be interested in joining Fr. Carmelo please let him know. It is an opportunity to help our Diocese increase awareness of vocations, celebrate vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, and provide financial support for           seminarian education. The evening begins at 5:00 PM at the Owensboro Convention Center with a cocktail/social hour. Dinner will promptly begin at 6:00 PM and will feature a keynote address by Andy Day, Diocese of Owensboro native and southeast regional director of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students). Those interested in attending can purchase an entire table, a single seat or seats for two.
