News for the week of June 5th

Our Parish Family

Would you be able to help serve food during the Sebree Summerfest 6/18-6/19?  Please text Patti to let her know!

More money counters are needed to count the collection          either after the 10:30am mass or meet during the week.

Congratulations to Odilón Martínez and family who won the new gas grill in the Knights of Columbus Raffle!  Thanks to all who supported the Knights in this fundraiser!

You’re invited:  The Gutiérrez family would like to invite the St. Michael’s family to celebrate the baptism of their baby Isabel and the 3-year presentation of their son Isaac on Saturday, June 11th at 11am at St. Michael’s followed by a party in the park.  No presents please, just your presence.  Everyone is welcome!

JOHN DURBIN MEMORIAL FUND:  John Durbin passed away on April 26th.  There is a memorial fund set up for him at 5\3 Bank in Henderson, KY.   John was a charter member of St. Michael’s, was an active parishioner and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  If you would like to make a donation you can contact the bank at  270-831-6500 and ask for the John Durbin Memorial Fund.

Parish pilgrimage on July 9th: In celebration of the Year of Mercy, St. Michael’s is organizing a pilgrimage to one of the Doors of Mercy in the Diocese—to the Fathers of Mercy in Auburn, KY.  There will be a sign-up sheet closer to the date to see if we have enough interest to charter a bus.  Mark your calendars!  For more info on the Year of Mercy in our Diocese see https://owensborodiocese.org/year-of-mercy/

Parish Mission Statement: Over the next few weeks we will finish reflecting on our mission as a parish as stated in the new Mission Statement chosen by majority last year.  Please see the front of the bulletin for the entire statement.  In a few weeks we will have a speaker from the Diocese to help us reflect on our Mission during this Year of Mercy and beyond.

Going on Vacation or Down to the Lake?  Don’t  forget to continue your support of St. Michael’s while you’re gone!  The parish counts on everyone’s ongoing support to continue to cover expenses through the Summer.  You can either mail in your offering or give online giving a try!  It’s easy to set up a quick, one-time gift or a reoccurring gift .  See www.smsebree.org/online-giving/ for info.
