Upcoming Ministry Opportunities

Would you be able to help at the Parish fundraiser?  The date has changed from August 9th to September 13th.  We will need lots of help setting up, transporting materials, running carnival booths, selling food & cleaning up.  If you can help please let Patti know!

Help is needed to get local NA & AA groups off the ground.  If you can help, let us know!

Volunteers are needed to clean the Parish Center (former           rectory) on a rotating basis.

Ongoing Ministry Opportunities

“Fiesta” Committee: Expectation: Helps plan, organize and carry out the various parish social celebrations throughout the year. Vision: The Parish Council                identified social events as a key for building community and would like to have an event about once a month. For this to work it’s essential to have someone to organize the logistics of each event and volunteers to help. Time: 3-4 hours once a month. Gifts Needed: hospitality,            organizational skills, creativity, sociable.

Save the Date fundraiser—Date change from August 9th to September 13th: The parish fundraiser the Hispanic parishioners are organizing has been moved to Sunday, September 13th for schedule conflicts.  Sorry for the confusion!  It will be at Sebree Springs park.  Please make plans to come support the parish have some fun with carnival-style games, lots of fun competitions and great home-made food!

Online Giving FAQs: How are my contributions                      automatically deducted from my account?  When you create your account, you enter your credit card and/or bank account information and then specify the amount you wish to                 contribute. Our Faith Family

TEENS ENCOUNTER CHRIST (TEC) is a 3 day retreat for high school juniors, seniors, and young adults who want to learn more about their Catholic faith.  TEC #170 will be held August 21-23 at St. Ann’s in Morganfield.  Sign up early as space is limited.  Go to wkytec.org to download weekend applications and code of conduct forms.  Deadline to sign up August 7 (your application must be in the Office of Youth Ministry on this date).  Cost is $60.  Scholarships are available.

Pope Francis’ Visit & World Meeting of Families

Diocese of Owensboro and the Family Life Office is sponsoring a pilgrimage to the Philadelphia World Meeting of Families and a concluding mass with Pope Francis September 21-27, 2015, Monday – Sunday (7 days / 6 nights) Pilgrimage price including hotel accommodations and motor coach transportation from Owensboro, KY:  $841 – $899. Prices based on quad occupancy.

St. Gerard Life Home in Owensboro, KY – provides free shelter and services for pregnant women age 18 and older in a crisis pregnancy.  A woman may come to us at any point in her pregnancy and may stay for up to 3 months after the birth of her child.  There are no limitations on race, nationality or religion.
