Last Scripture Study on Monday! Don’t forget, Fr. Tony Shonis will be back to share his wisdom on March 16th at 6pm. Jesus’ suffering helps us make sense of our suffering. This week we will be delving into the Gospel of John (The Victorious Jesus).
Fish Fry this Friday—March 20th, Again! Join your St. Michael’s Family for some great food this Friday following the Stations of the Cross (around 6:30pm). Those that are able are asked to bring a dessert or side dish to share. Fish, hushpuppies & fries will be provided. Donations will be taken up to cover the costs. Any profits will be used for the building & grounds committee projects.
Upcoming Ministry Opportunities
Parish Clean-up/Work Day: Sunday, March 22nd at 2pm everyone is invited to lend a hand to spruce up the parish for Spring (painting, yard work, cleaning, organizing, etc). More hands make the work light!
Altar Society: This is a group of dedicated women who help provide the bread, wine, candles, decorate the church & much more! Any women are invited to join them at their meeting Tues.
Help Cook at the Fish Fry: Come at 4pm behind Parish Center to help fry the fish, fries & hushpuppies or bring another dish to share!
Easter Flower Donations: There are envelopes by the door if you would like to give a notation for flowers for Easter in honor of a deceased loved one.
Easter Decorating: Please consider coming to lend a hand to decorate for Easter on Saturday, April 4th at 10am.

“Actors” Needed: Are you willing to dress up as a person from the Way of the Cross on Good Friday for a live representation at 5pm? Don’t worry, no acting skills or memorizing lines are required! Let Patti know today if you are interested in either acting or helping with the costumes (donations, sewing, etc).
Charbroil Grill Raffle: The local Knights are raffling off an outside, charbroil grill on April 23rd at their meeting. Buy tickets from any member of the Knights for $5/each.
Parish Hall & Parish Center: The former rectory (next to the Parish Hall) is now being used for classrooms/meeting rooms and the Parish Council has named it the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Center. (“Guadalupe Center”) We will have an official dedication after the 10:30am Mass on May 24th. Come join us! We will also rededicate the Parish Hall to be officially named the Fr. Carl Glahn Parish Hall (“Glahn Hall”) in honor of our founding pastor who passed away in January.
Parish Planning Day: Everyone is invited to join the Parish Leadership in reflecting on our Parish Family & forming renewed Mission & Vision Statements on Saturday, March 28th at the Mount St. Joseph Conference & Retreat Center from 9am-3pm. Our Faith Family
Come on over to the Chrism Mass! It is Bishop Medley’s desire that the Chrism Mass be an annual gathering of the entire Diocese! It is held in the Owensboro Sportscenter at 6:30pm on Holy Tuesday each year to accommodate as many as possible. Please make an effort to attend this year on March 31st. If you’re interested in carpooling from St. Michael’s, please let Patti know.

Next Rediscover Catholicism April 9—The next Rediscover Catholicism class will take place on Thursday, April 9 at Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center. This monthly study focuses on the bestselling book, “Rediscover Catholicism,” by Matthew Kelly.
