Our Parish Family

Bring People to or back to the Church: Do you have friends or family that have been away from the Church for years or are looking for a Church family?  Sunday, Aug 30th  after the 10:30am mass we will have an info session for those that want to talk about how to invite people back.

Fr. Carmelo on Vacation—No Daily English Mass: There will be no Mass on Monday or Tuesday until Fr. Carmelo returns on Sept. 9th.  If you need a priest for a pastoral emergency please call or text Patti and she will help get one.

Religious Education (K-8) registration: If you have kids or grandkids in Kindergarten to 8th grade that you would like to register in our parish’s faith formation  please ask Patti for a registration packet.  Classes start Sept. 9th.

POPE FRANCIS’ Visit to the U.S.!  Drivers Needed! Would you like to join others from the parish headed to              Philadelphia to see Pope Francis?  The Pope will be  visiting the faithful on  September 26th & 27th in  Philadelphia, PA.  The parish group will leave Friday Morning & return          Monday evening.  Each  carload would cover their gas          expense & each person would pay for their food.  We would crash on the floor of a local parish’s gymnasium or host                  families.  If you are interested please let Patti know ASAP!

Save the Date fundraiser—September 13th: The           parish fundraiser will be at Sebree Springs park.  Please make plans to come support the parish have some fun with carnival-style games, lots of fun competitions and great home-made food!  Help us spread the word with the flyer!

Online Giving FAQs: What if I want to stop using Online        Giving?  You can cancel your authorization by deleting your credit card and/or bank account information along with your donation dates. Upcoming Ministry Opportunities

If you would like to offer your time & talents tell Patti!

Would you like to help pass on our faith to the next generation?  We have a place for you in our parish’s religious education program!  We still need someone who can: serve the snack, supervise outside play, provide rides to and from, help keep the kids on task during class, one person to teach a  class, help with the registration paperwork, clean up, organize materials, etc.  Could you help with one of those?  Please let Patti know today!!  Classes are Wednesdays from 5:45-7pm and start on Sept. 9th.

Would you be able to help at the Parish fundraiser?  The date is September 13th.  We will need lots of help setting up, transporting materials, running carnival booths, selling food & cleaning up.  If you can help please let Patti know!

Help is needed to get local NA & AA groups off the ground.  If you can help, let us know!

Volunteers are needed to clean the Parish Center (former           rectory) on a rotating basis.

5th Sunday Sing: Join other Christians in Sebree for worship with The Original Gospel Sounds at Calvary Pentecostal Church at 6pm on Sun. Aug. 30th.

Our Faith Family

Family Day at Gasper River Camp!  On Saturday, Sept. 19th from 11am to 6pm there is an event for families of all ages & sizes.  There will be activities for the youth & parent sessions.  Theme:  “Mission Possible: A Mission of Love” & a blessing/sending for those headed to the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.  This event is likely to fill up quick so register with Patti ASAP if you’re interested!  Sponsored by Diocesan Offices of Family Life, Youth Ministry & Pastoral Juvenil.

VOCARE—Bishop Medley and the VOCARE committee would like to invite parishioners to the Second Annual VOCARE event set for Friday, September 18, 2015 and to be held at the Owensboro Convention Center. Vocare will be an exciting evening of            celebration of Vocations to the Priesthood and commemorating the Year of Consecrated Life.  If you are interested in attending  please let Patti know.  Tables can be purchased or sponsored at $500 for a table of eight. Individual tickets can be purchased for $65 and couples may purchase a pair of tickets for $125 by contacting Kathy Rasp at 270-683-1545 or Kathy.rasp@pastoral.org.

St. Gerard Life Home in Owensboro, KY – provides free shelter and services for pregnant women age 18 and older in a crisis pregnancy.  A woman may come to us at any point in her pregnancy and may stay for up to 3 months after the birth of her child.  There are no limitations on race, nationality or religion.
